Hi guys,
firstly Michelle, seeing as I would have been about 6 at the time, I get the feeling not.. sadly, I wasn't a child prodigy, but interesting to know there's another one out there somewhere.. it's weird over the last couple of years other instances of me seem to have popped up.
Andrei, I'm not 100% sure on the specs.. it's my understanding that there's no user-accessible download space.. or users can't run downloads, etc.. but seeing as nothing has been said officially, I can't tell you.. I tried asking an iPhone engineer tonight for details, and pretty much every answer was "I can't talk about that"..
As much as I couldn't tell you even if I did know (which I can assure you I don't), unless it was stated in the keynote, it's under NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement). But seeing as the only info we've had about the iPhone is what was in the keynote, and a development sessions, that basically translated down to use AJAX along with good design, baring in mind the screen size of the iPhone..
that's all we've been told, no-one will know anything before June 29..
but in general, my opinion would be that no you can't copy AppleScripts to the iPhone.. you might be able to enact them upon the iPhone depending on how the iPhone is seen by a mac..
My personal advice would be don't go developing AppleScripts or the iPhone until it's released, just in case..
thanks,
mark
