This script used to work:

tell application "Mail"

set foo to the content of the signatures

end tell

Now it times out, and locks up mail.app.  I have to force quit Mail and run it again to make it work.

A little experimentation shows that changing "the signatures" to "signature 1" will run the script in about 12 seconds.  Changing to "signature 2" increases the time to about 20 seconds.  "Signature 3" increases it to 26 to 40 seconds.  I didn't try any further.

With fewer than 125 signatures, it was almost instantaneous.
