If "logs" is a folder, the trailing colon is correct.

if "logs" is a standard file, the colon is a wrongdoer.

As I understood the OP, the problem was in the conversion of a colon delimited string to a slash delimited string using the Posix Path command i.e. the conversion wasn't being performed. If this is the case, the trailing colon is moot as it won't affect the conversion process.

Given the above, you are spot on about the trailing colon's presence when referring to files and folders.
