I can't recall whether I encountered that slowdown before or after I upgraded to Safari 3.0,

The script I tried was run after installing Safari 3.0 and after seeing your post.


I suspected the new WebKit in Safari was the cause of the problem can't prove it now.

I can only say it's gone away with 3.0.2.
