How to burn a folder to DVD(s)?

Hi all,
I wonder if anyone would be kind enough to point me in the right
direction here?
I have a script that finishes by producing a folder full of files. I
want to be able to burn this folder onto DVD(s) as the final action
of the script. Is there a way of doing this via AppleScript? I'm sure
there must be but I can't see how.
I had a look at xburn.osax (http://www.lestang.org/rubrique10.html)
which seems to be exactly what I need, but my MacBook Pro doesn't
recognise the osax for some reason (maybe it doesn't like Intel Macs?).
Any suggestions appreciated (I suspect I've overlooked something
blindingly obvious!).
