Is something going on here underneath the tablecloth?

I swear this worked yesterday and I didn't touch nothin'...

Today I ran (command-R) from Smile this tiny program...

tell application "GilLog"
	launch
end tell

And I got the error, "Error of Type -10827 has occurred", which I think means it can't find the application.

I got this error on some other scripts that have been using GilLog for weeks and broke today. This little example is the nut of what seems to be the problem.

I'm looking at the GilLog application right here in the Finder:

      Name GilLog
      Kind Application
  Modified Today

GilLog had been saved days ago as a stay-open app. In a desperate attempt to rule out file corruption, I had opened it with Smile and re-(saved it as a stay-open app). This didn't help.

I can launch GilLog by double-clicking from the Finder; that works.

I tried renaming to GilLog.app both in the Finder and in the Smile window. Smile automatically dropped the ".app" when I pushed command-R, and I still got the error.

I tried rebooting. No help.

I figured out how to look at permissions with ls -lt. It got...

       -rwxrwxrwx 1 gil gil 9116 May 8 12:04 GilLog

...which looks reasonable to me.

Like I say, it worked yesterday. WhadidIdo?

I have been working on moving my website (http://ChargerFinder.com) from OS9 on a G3 to OSX on my Powerbook. I put the acgis into /Library/Webserver/CGI-Ececutables and the .html and .xml files into /Library/Webserver/Documents and fired up ACGI Dispatcher. It's sorta working, but the .acgis call GilLog and that's got me stopped for the moment.

I'm using MacOS V10.4.9, Smile V2.6.9, acgi dispatcher V2.5

Anybody have an idea?
