Hi all,
I'm writing a script which will check the link status to every image in a
QuarkXPress document and if it shows a different path than the job folder
the file is sitting in (ie. linked to another job or to a server location)
it'll move it to the job's "Images" folder if it's not already there or is
newer. So far that part of the script is working well.
The bit I'm struggling with is if images are missing. I've trolled the web
and the XPress dict but there's nothing on picture usage.
I'm thinking that as part of my testing each file for property "missing",
if it returns positive I'll have to turn to System Events to bring up a
dialog asking the user to "Please fix all links and modified images" then
invoke the picture usage dialog and have System events run a repeat loop
until the window is closed then proceed with the rest of the script.
I did notice in the XPress dict there are references for "menu" and "menu
item" but I'm unsure how to use them in my syntax. Is it similar to System
Events where you reference them in reverse: menu item "Usage" of menu
"Utilities" etc...?
And has anyone found a way to collect fonts via AppleScript? In the XPress
dict there is a "font list" and "font record" property...
