thanx 4 the hint; hard 2 find docs or man pages on that...

i've also discovered a non-bug?feature(-:

	display dialog POSIX path of (path to resource "")

displays whatever it happens to find handy; in script editor:

	/Applications/AppleScript/Script Editor.app/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/

and stand-alone (from a default app.bundle)

	/Users/tomw/Desktop/test.app/Contents/Resources/applet.icns
