Hi Bob,

My guess is that you would need to set Filemaker's text item delimiters to something other that commas, ie. tab.

I'll test my hypothesis tonight after work and let you know.

Am I stupid or what? I must be missing something basic. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

Below is a snippet (screen shot) of the AS editor events.

I am asking mail to take the content of all the messages in "valid by request". That works just fine. When I tell Filemaker to put all this stuff into one field in Filemaker ("violets and blue", "roses are red") the cell in Filemaker only is populated with the first item (violets are blue) . Apparently the comma between theses two item is the issue. Does this seem correct? How can I get the whole thing into one field in Filemaker? Do I need to coerce this thing into a string?
Thanks so much

Applescript syntax is like English spelling: Roughly, though not thoroughly, thought through.
