If it's working and you don't have the time or inclination to mess with it, then it's not worth changing things.  However, if you foresee your load increasing and anticipate needing to increase your server capacity or refine your remote administration abilities, then there can be a case made, as expansion options are different with OS X Server versus OS X Client.


Just an FYI, I have a number of AppleScripts controlling numerous applications (including InDesign)  that were written for client and migrated seemlessly to server. I've noticed no significant differences in speed or reliability. Our system administrators prefer installing OSX Server on macs used as servers, but that preference may not be based on any actual real world difference between the systems.
