I'm sorry, I thought you were just being creative.    One often sees
intentionally-new words ( like "embiggen" for "make bigger" )  in
these technology discussions.

The word "fasten" does mean "make fast", but in the older sense of
"fast" meaning "firmly fixed" rather than the more modern meaning of
"quick".
