and if found, then drop some files into the /extensions directory of each and every one found place folder in /Application directory - but- if folder exists, rename existing .fp7 files to .bak.fp7 places some files into /Application directory (replace is fine)

I believe you would have to run a script to achieve the above. My installs were very straight-forward and I did not have to run any extra script phases. What it will give you though is administrator privileges.
