How to tell if text is of another language

  • Thread-topic: How to tell if text is of another language

I am trying to write an Entourage Applescript that will automatically move
messages with a foreign language subject line (i.e. Chinese, etc.) that are
put in the junk email folder by Entourage junk mail filtering process.

Since I can't read them myself I would like to tell somehow that the
characters are not of the English alphabet and move them to the deleted
items folder.

Is there a way to determine this. The character set value is empty and I
don't see any other property that would give me a clue.

Thanks.

Stephen
