(This is OT, but it seems that the ability to dial a phone with a
modem, except for connecting to an ISP, has been removed from Leopard.
Dumb idea! How do these things happen! Perhaps someone at Apple
really, really enjoys pushing buttons on a phone. Finger exercise. And
convinced someone else that finger exercise is good and wonderful and
should be a new feature of Leopard. When I've developed a really
strong middle finger ...)
