UI Scripting a Save As Dialog

  • Subject: UI Scripting a Save As Dialog

Is there a convenient way to use UI scripting to set the path referenced by a Save As dialog? I have cause to script a save-as action to save a document to a specific location (a specific file name in a directory under Temporary Items), and the thought of having to select the volume and each folder in the path under script control seems appalling. There has to be a better way to do this.

The specific save-as action is not otherwise scriptable (it is "Save As Pictures..." in PowerPoint 2008, note that the "save as picture" AppleScript vocabulary item in the dictionary is a different action).
