Title: Re: AppleScript-Users Digest, Vol 5, Issue 670
Why is it important to be able to tell *another*
application to display the dialog on behalf of the application that's
running the script?
For example, I used to use FileMaker data base as a platform to run many different scripts, some scripts do their job in InDesign, some in Illustrator, some in MediaExpression or even 2 or 3 apps, and some times I need the user feedback specifically in some application, not in FileMaker so I want to have control in what application I use to display a dialog.
In al these scripts, FileMaker provide sever data, that is used latter in the process that will follow but that’s all, and will be a noon sense to display a dialog from there.
