I'd fix the error handler first, to see what error occurs, to get it into Excel first ;-)

NB it would be VERY helpful for us to help you if you could be more precise wit the description (class, contents) of your variables in use, the real code (not shortened)
and
(as it regards to Excel scripting) the failing code of the Excel part
