The apple event error -609 is:
-609: Connection is invalid.
You are probably trying to connect to yourself with this script. In the vernacular, you are trying to lick your elbow, and the computer is trying to tell you.
So, on Star Trek: Enterprise, the 609 Club in San Francisco is the bar where pilots who can lick their elbows hang out? Gee, and I thought it was named after the old 609 vacuum tube that looked like a beer bottle.
