If it's any consolation, I *did* study matrices at school but their
use in Illustrator still baffles me. Maybe I just didn't study them
hard enough!
Quite why there isn't a 'scaled' or 'rotated' property for page items
in Illustrator escapes me. I'd have thought they'd be pretty
fundamental things you'd need to know about a page item, yet they're
not easily accessible unless you have ninja maths skills.
