I don't think that's possible without adding uneeded layers of complexity to
a fairly simple, powerful technology.
Plus, these kinds of references are not that complex and once you get them,
you've got them. They may not be intuitive or work the way other languages
work, but they behave fairly consistently.
On the other hand, if you want that increased level of transparency you can
use Script Debugger, which reveals exactly what's happening inside variables
and apps, etc.
There's no need to muck around with the language or the technology to
resolve these minor issues.
