Time to exceute curl

  • Subject: Time to exceute curl

Hi all,

Wether I run the following command in Terminal or SE, it takes an awful long time to execute. Until a couple of days ago, it used to be instantaneous!
In Terminal:
curl 'http://download.finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s=AAPL&f=l1d1&e=.csv'

In SE:
set theURL to "http://download.finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.csv?s=AAPL&f=l1d1&e=.csv"
set theResult to do shell script {"curl " & quoted form of theURL}

What could prevent rapid execution of such command (maybe considering preferences, conflict issues in the system but eliminating internet connection issues). I have no idea where to start looking.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Michael
