osascript and text output

  • Subject: osascript and text output

When running an AppleScript via osascript in a Terminal window, is there a way to display text output other than passing it to the "return" command at the very end of the script? I'd like to write text to stdout while the script is still running -- similar to using the "echo" command in a shell script.
