You don't really need applescript for this; although I suppose it's
possible to use it. Safari (or Firefox or whatever browser you use)
has settings which will remember usernames and passwords for sites and
will auto enter them on the page; although you usually have to click
OK or Return to proceed. The passwords are stored in your browser
profile and/or your keychain.
If you're looking for something more complicated than that; albeit
with more features; then take a look at either Password Wallet
<http://selznick.com/> or 1Password <http://1password.com>. Both of
these are essentially small database programs which keep your
passwords encrypted. For strictly web page use . . .1Password has a
better system for choosing which username/password combination to use.
For an all-round password keeper which syncs to your Palm or Touch or
iPhone then you might like Password Wallet better. 1Password also
syncs to your Touch/iPhone/Palm as well.

I am trying to write some applescript for opening a website like
"mail.yahoo.com", passing necessary username and password and login.
Can it be achieved through apple script or some other way, so that I
can bypass entering the details everytime. What I am expecting is that
can we pass text to webpages from apple script or not. If Yes, how?
