Hello all,
I have an aluminum keyboard that has a "fn" key above the forward
delete key. Is there any way to use it in conjunction with System
Events keystroke commands? I have tried calling it fn or Function but
neither one works. Is this just limited to the standard four modifier
keys?
In addition how do I type a function key? I want to keystroke
"control + fn + F7"
In the end what I really am trying to do is change document's "open
with" setting to a particular program. (InDesign specifically which
uses the same extension and Creator Type for CS2 and CS3 and I have
both installed and have good reason to keep file versions
separately). I want to double click the document not always have to
drag and drop it to open in the correct version.
I figured however I can get info for the document and full keyboard
access control the window. The fn key comes in to toggle that full
keyboard access control. Perhaps there is another way to toggle it? I
don't see a dictionary entry for it.
All of this is 10.4.11 and I can't install developer tools because I
don't have admin rights.
Thanks!
Ian
