Hello,
working with the text item delimmiters I appreciated that they
respect considering and ignoring attributes, except for hyphens and
white space:
set myText to "e-mail"
ignoring hyphens
set text item delimiters to "email"
set myText to every text item of myText
set text item delimiters to "E-Mail"
set myText to myText as text
end ignoring -- Result: "e-mail"
The result should be "E-Mail".
No, it should not!
"set myText to every text item of myText" sets myText to have only one
item, thus it will not use the TID.
Start your myText as "e-mail email url" and run your script.
It will result in ---> "e-mail E-Mail url" as expected.
The same happens with ignoring white space.
Am I doing something wrong as case and diacriticals work perfectly?
set myText to "Liberté, Liberte"
ignoring diacriticals
set text item delimiters to "Liberté"
set myText to every text item of myText
set text item delimiters to "Freedom"
set myText to myText as text
end ignoring --Result: "Freedom, Freedom"
