I'm currently using the open panel from applescript studio which, I think, returns a list of strings.

 From the docs:

"An open panel object only understands and returns only POSIX style (slash-delimited) paths. It does not understand file or alias types."

Is there a better way to let the user select a folder that returns an applescript file? I'm more than happy to dump the panel class to avoid the string nightmares.
