I wish there were:

1. a standard way to search for event errors by name

The only way I know is to look for the actual error number in MacErrors.h. These are mostly found in the OSA, Component, and AppleEvent enums. The most common AppleEvent errors start at -1700.

2. a way to code check to highilight weather commands are supported by OSAXen. I never would have known this is third party.

I'd especially like #2 as well. It might be possible for Apple to distinguish between OS X built-in language keywords/commands and those supplied by 3rd party osaxen/apps by color options. This would be based on the URL of the loaded sdef and a new wrapper call at the CoreFoundation or CoreServices level (certainly not in Cocoa).
