My question has created quite a discussion. Even though I am new to Perl and don’t understand the code, Mark’s solution did work for me, I just copy paste the code into my script. Now I will read about Perl and maybe even try to understand the code.

 

I believe any script/program one writes there is always room for improvement. In polite words it should be referred to as suggestions or improvement rather then inefficient. Term “inefficient” would discourage people to response to others problem.

 

Ed, I would like to see the applescript version. Because before posting I tried applescript, nothing worked.

 

Thanks Tom for the SQL solution. Next week I am switching over to 10.4. Maybe then I try it out just to learn something new.
