Any suggested approaches? Ping something and if it fails then assume you’re offline? Is there an OS status that would indicate this?
The Network Configuration Suite of System Events might help:
configuration n [inh. item] : A collection of settings for configuring a connection elements elements inherited from item properties account name (text) : the name used to authenticate connected (boolean, r/o) : Is the configuration connected? id (text, r/o) : the unique identifier for the configuration name (text) : the name of the configuration
