This illustrates a BUG that has been with us since Leopard. No one seems to have found a workaround for this yet.

Regardless of any previous behavior, I don't see this as a bug.

set choices to {"peas", "potatoes", "pumpkins", "pumpernickels", "parsnips"}

set default_items to {"p"}

choose from list choices default items default_items with multiple selections allowed
