The main thing that kerberos is used for is we have a lot of password
protected web pages that are secured by mod_auth_krb, and if there
isn't a valid kerberos ticket an authentication dialog is displayed,
not the dialog for my kerberos credential. Therefore I was wanting a
script that could ensure that I have a valid credential. Currently
every morning when I get into the office I just use kinit at the
command line, but I have an AppleScript which generates my X509 proxy
certificate and I was hoping to incorporate the kinit step into this
process.
