I don’t have that file on my machine. And even if I did, would you care to enlighten me a bit about how I can use it to achieve my goal ?

Maybe you're on an old system. Look to see if it's here:

	/System/Library/CoreServices/dotmacsyncclient

Otherwise, in Terminal type"

% locate dotmacsyncclient
