It is possible to use AS itself as a database of sorts, however, it
would be necessary to understand what you want to do.
For instance, if you wanted to add the addresses of people who write
an email to you, you could use an applescript to add the email address
to the application address book in a group called RSVP recipients.

Excel is a spreadsheet program, not a database. Can you please
