Hello List.
We are using Jon Pugh's "Jon's Commands" for the past 5 years
without problem.
However, yesterday the CopyFile function started returning errors
to us saying the "Drive XYZ:Folder1:Folder2:FileABC.txt" couldn't
be found"
Here's the catch... the error is erroneous because if I remove the
file "FileABC.txt" from the destination folder where it is copying
to, it copies without a problem. So it appears to be giving me
this message when it tries to over an existing file. If I leave
off the "replacing yes", I in fact get an error message that a
duplicate file exists. When I add "replacing yes" I get the above
error about the "Drive XYZ..." not being found.
Also, if I have it copy to a location on the local hard drive, it
functions fine, over writing the file correctly. It only fails and
returns this error when I try to copy to the mounted drive.
Nothing has changed since yesterday on our network or the machines
we are running the scripts on.
Anyone have any idea what would suddenly cause this?
We are running this on Legacy machines running 8.6 copying to
mounted volume on an G5 running OS X 10.3.9 Server.
My entire command line looks like this:
CopyFile ("Local Drive:Folder A:Folder B:08-09-17.txt") to
("Mounted_Drive:Sub_Folder:Destination_Folder:") replacing yes
Jon's Command rev number is 2.1.2.
Thanks,
Rick
It would be useful to say which OS you are using.
Is it 10.5.4 or 10.5.5 ?
