System Events - Selecting a Folder

Hi All,
I have an application that is not scriptable, I have used System
Events to select a "Save as Special..." menu item. This works fine
but the application puts up a standard Choose Folder dialog in order
to select the folder to store the file. I can keystroke a "return"
and this works too to select the current folder path, but the folder
path is not guaranteed to be where I need it to be, e.g. it could be
pointing to anywhere on the hard disk(s). I need the file(s) save in
a specific place so as to do Script processing on the resultant files.
Is there any way I can select the correct folder in the application
before I send the "return" keystroke?
