Thanks for the tips. So far I've gotten responses asking if I can just download it directly, using curl. I've determined that that is a better solution for the problem. I've got it working now.

-Adam, who loses patience perhaps too easily when Applescript turns into bash scripting and wonders if Appscript for Python 3000 is worth learning or will be worth doing so soon.
