Hi Philip,

I am discovering the value of tclsh, after reading your post and I would like to explore from there.

Do you think it's overkill; or is there a benefit in pursuing this approach to integrate complex calculations/computaions in AS?

The question was not directed to me, so apologies for popping in...

Just to let you know, inasmuch you be interested in computations in AS, that Satimage-software designed an AS environment dedicated to computational and data visualization needs, known as Smile or SmileLab.

SmileLab's environment is supposed to let you enjoy the qualities of AS, yet providing professional computing performance. Several research and military labs use SmileLab to automate heavy computations and/or data visualization.

That is at www.satimage-software.com.
