It's this header Sutapalli Satyanarayana included when the response was sent.

That happens when a poster replies to a message as an easy way to get the correct  list address. The theory is that changing the subject line is equivalent to creating a new thread. That's wrong for readers who pay attention to the In_Reply-To headers.

Does Apple's Mail client pay any attention to that kind of threading? Are there AppleScripts that would help? In these international days of Aw: and the like in place of Latin Re: it would be nice.

I note that  Novell GroupWise doesn't help much.
