Dilemma

Recall the bug, first reported here by Bill Cheeseman, who found that setting the 'visible' property of a list view no longer works.

I spent most of the last 3 days testing my application in both Leopard and Snow Leopard. In Leopard, files are presented in list view with only those columns showing that make sense. Some folders show Name, Mod Date and Comment. Others show Name and Mod Date. And some show only the Name. Perfect. It really looks nice!

In Snow Leopard, I created a new user for testing and forgot to set the default list view columns. The files are presented in list view, but the columns shown make no sense at all, and the presentation is totally uninformative, confusing and really ugly. Depending on the default settings, the necessary information my not even appear.

I am torn between two options:
1. Release the software now and include a "Snow Leopard - Read Me" file explaining how to manually set the visible columns for various folders. or
2. Wait for this bug to be fixed before releasing the new version.

I would prefer waiting, but only if the wait is short.

How long does one usually have to wait for bug fixes?
