As far as I know, Adobe Reader, like Preview has no AppleScript Support.

Which documentation are you reading ? The one for the full Acrobat ?

Both Acrobat Reader 8 & 9 have the same sdef. Both are scriptable. Start with
<http://www.adobeforums.com/webx/.3bb55d70/>. More details in
<http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/acrobat/sdk/pdf/iac/ IACReference.pdf>.

and end with:

http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/reader_overview.pdf

which states:

Apple events

On Mac OS, you may use Apple events and AppleScript. Adobe Reader supports only the following required Apple events:

●open

●print

●quit

●run

which are the minimal set, the one allowing no parameters for Print.

Those which we may activate also with Preview changing the value of one of its resources.
