Set / unset tab, margins, and so on… by code (AppleScript) will be a plus.

Not very, apparently. Open its dictionary in TextEdit and you'll see searching on "tab" and "margin" doesn't reveal anything. Googling "tell application textedit" should help you get a good idea of what can be done and is being done.
