Satimage-software is glad to announce the release of Smile 3.4 for
MacOS 10.5 or higher.
Smile is a programming and working environment based on AppleScript.
In Smile you can edit and run scripts. You can edit text files (ASCII
and Unicode) and XML documents or manipulate them by script. You can
create your own GUI (Aqua or HTML), make PDF graphics by script, and
control I/O devices. All those features are free.
Some new features of this release:
- Smile uses a new text engine. The text windows (AppleScript
terminals, script windows and Unicode windows) should be much more
efficient when handling large amount of text.
- The F5 key or alt-tab in a text window now opens an autocompletion
popup menu.
- Syntax coloring is enabled in Unicode windows corresponding
to .html, .js, .plist, .sdef, .xml and .xsl files.
