Hello list,
Did a fairly extensive search on the list and came up empty (although there were some interesting bits about LaunchServices). Apologies in advance if this is a really silly question.
Basically, I've whipped up a tiny app whose purpose in life is to use the file type off of InDesign files to force them to open in the correct version--even if 2 or 3 versions of ID are running simultaneously. It works perfectly when I drop files on the AS droplet app (which is a bundle now, btw). It works perfectly when I get info on a single .indd file and change the "Open With" pop-up to my AS app.
It fails miserably when I try and "Change All" such that all ".indd" documents open with my AS app. Instead it reverts back to the latest version of InDesign every time!
So what I'm trying to figure out is what I need to set in the AS droplet bundle to make it be a valid "Change All" option for the Finder? In Info.plist, I've added all the file types it is supposed to work with. I've also tried giving it a unique signature & creator and the exact same signature & creator as ID, but all to no avail.
Any help much appreciated!
Thanks in advance, Eric. |
