Speaking of FileMaker, does anyone know how to copy the "image" data
from Address Book into a FileMaker container field? Using "set
cellValue" doesn't work, and for that matter neither does a manual
copy & paste.

The problem with the “image” property in AB is the class, that is a TIFF picture, so this is “data” so you can not use this info to put in a container cell in FM at least as far as I know
By the way in AB you need to double click the image in order that copy paste works
