I would like to write an AppleScript that will move any
files/folders/applications it finds on my primary monitor to my second
monitor. Not even sure where to begin. If I have a specific file
selected is there a way to move it to my other display?
I don't know if there is with AppleScript or not. If there is,
somebody here will likely know and tell you. But if there isn't,
I wouldn't despair if I were you. I only have my laptop here at
the moment, but when I have it connected to my desktop monitor
I believe all the icons show up on the big one. If I wanted to
move them to the litle one, I would just have to hit cmd-a to
select them all and then simply drag over to a point on the
laptop monitor. That's about as simple as triggering a script,
isn't it?
I think I could do it with a single trigger by means of a simple
QuicKeys sequence that would do the same thing, cmd-a and drag,
but I've never wanted to do this and would have to try it out
in my office.
