Hey Folks,
I'm trying to rebuild an old script I wrote for Eudora to derive the salutation from the to-address. Unfortunately there's still no way to set the 'selected text' in Mail, so I'm having to use the clipboard.
The weird thing is that the pasted text is Helvetica 12 even though I have my default message text set to Courier 12, and I can't seem to find a way around this. Any ideas?
If I understand well, when you run the script, the mail document is defined as Rich Text allowing it to use several fonts.
If you define it as Text, you may define the standard font to Courier so that your pasted items will be also in Courier.
If you want that your correspondant receive it as Courier, when it's ready, switch to Rich Text. If you don't switch this way the message will be displayed using the default font of the recipient application.
