You might also try
set MountedVols to every paragraph of (do shell script "ls /Volumes")
I wonder when that will work correctly...
Here, do shell script "ls /Volumes" returns:
Library
Library-1
Library-2
Library-3
Library-4
Library-5
Library-6
Macintosh HD
In fact I have only 2 volumes mounted - and, consistently, do shell
script "ls /Volumes/Libary-1" fails with "No such file or directory"
I used to have problems with Xcode leaving duplicate folders in /
Volumes when I would inadvertently yank out a USB stick with a project
on it forgetting that Xcode still had the project open.
To make sure you have a "clean" /Volumes folder, unmount all attached
volumes, 'open /Volumes' and trash the unwanted duplicate folders.
