History prove that this kind of revolution is often bringing a lot
of drawbacks which where not identified by those wishing the changes.
Actually, I didn't advocate a revolution, but rather a new type of
container formalized in AppleScript. This I equate to evolution.
In fact, something remarkably similar is already present in the
property list suite of "System Events".
In Cocoa scripting, coercion of records to NSDictionaries is available
and there is absolutely no confusion about the class of the containing
object from one of its items.
I can say the same for CFDictionaries because I have implemented a
similar coercion facility at that level.
There will be no drawbacks because backwards compatibility is not
necessary and the implementation is already used by the AppleScript
team.
Remember 1918 in Russia.
