The difference between the _volume_ UUID and the _disk_ serial
number :-)
Not sure how to separate the wheat from the chaff past that though,
but you could at least check if the Sreial in there is what you are
after...
Especially more convoluted if you have 2 or more USB disks mounted
each with several volumes. I've devised a simple XSL Transform to do
the job. If either of you can make use of it, I'd be happy to send it
over.
