My application I am working on must show a list of windows machines and shared folders in them. when user selects the shared folder on a windows machine, it will ask for authentication and will mount that folder on my mac.
I'm getting confused here, but maybe I understand you wrong:
1: You develop a Mac OS Application (as this is an AppleScript list...)
2: You seem to want the Mac OS App to List all Windows PC's on the network AND the shares on those PC's.. right?
3: You would like to Mount the remote share on Your Mac after asking for authentication.. on the Remote PC??? Or will the application run on remote Macs where the remote user is asked for Auth and then mount the remote PC share on YOUR Mac???
To me, it sounds like more than One Application, and something that would be on the edge of privacy laws, unless you ask the Remote User if it's OK to mount the share on a remote Admin machine.
And if it's the Remote User that clicks on the share, why does the Remote User need to see ALL shares on ALL PC's on the network? The remote user should just see the Local Shares and be able to give you access to the shares... But why not simply use Admin Masqerading? Or are you in a situation where you (or the end user) does not have Admin access to the remote machines???? Are you trying to work around the IT department?? ;-)
Since AppleScript is not an option on the PC, you need something else there, so why list all the Network PC's in AppleScript?
